These gifts go into our general operating fund and are used primarily to keep the Association rolling. They cover the costs of insurance, utilities, training and web services. Your Friends of PFTrails gift also covers the purchase, maintenance, and replacement of tools held by the Association for use on all our projects. In addition, there are always costs that pop-up on a project or event that were unforeseen and therefore un-budgeted; the general fund helps cover these costs as well.

To make the giving fun for individual donors, we offer the First Fifty campaign: the first 50 individual donors each year making Friends of PFTrails gifts of $50 or more are recognized on this website and elsewhere. Compete with your friends to see who gets on the list first!

Businesses and affiliates have their own campaign, Circle of Fives: the first five to make a Friends of PFTrails gift of $5,000 or more are recognized on their own list! Will your company or association be the first?

All of our projects – whether in the design or construction phase, or after completion – welcome gifts from enthusiastic supporters. Our Friends of the Trail give generously to see their favorite trail projects succeed. During the design phase, gifts may be used for engineering surveys or legal fees. During construction Friends of the Trail donations may help pay for such as surfacing material, or fuel for our gas-powered equipment. Trail Friend gifts after initial construction are used for purposes such as mowing, additional trail-side plantings, fresh coats of paint, or repairing trail damage. Friends of the Trail are recognized in print materials at the Trail opening, at Galas and specific other events, and always shown on the trail’s page.
